So this week I have had a play with some boe beauty Matte Lip Creams.
$2? hmmm surely they won't be fabulous but I thought I would give them a go considering all the hype around the brand at the moment.
Here's what I thought:

4 shades available - Nude, Blush Pink, Shocking Pink & Pillar Box

First 2 shades - Pillar Box & Shocking Pink. WOW! What pigmentation and the formulation is surprisingly creamy and the staying power is quite amazing. Loving the Red which is called Pillar Box.

2nd 2x shades - Blush Pink & Nude. I'm a real sucker for a subtle pink that can be worn everyday so I was really surprised and thrilled to have found "Blush Pink" definitely my new staple lip product! Once again the formulation is lovely and creamy and the staying power completely took me by surprise.

So all in all WELL DONE boe beauty for designing such beautiful products at a ridiculous price point of $2!
boe beauty is exclusive to Big W and I heard a rumour that they have just received more stock in store!

be a boe beauty VIP

This has got to be one of the most creative and exciting campaigns I have yet come across and to be honest - boe beauty never cease to amaze me with $2 (ridiculous!!!) products that are funnily enough quite good! Available in Big W stores in Australia.
I use their pressed powder everyday and am truly happy with the results. It's highly pigmented and stays on and for $2 who cares if it lasts a few hours and I have to re-apply.
I like to powder my nose anyway .. it makes me feel like I'm staying on top of looking my best :) Plus if I'm on a date I get to text the girls from the bathroom and fill them in on whether he is a real dud or not! hehe

So I need to share this with you all ... I will definitely be entering this competition!
The winner receives a VIP status, a product named after them and a cute tiara and sash!
How exciting! You do need to be a beauty blogger, beauty editor or beauty vlogger to enter which I think is such a brill idea! Well done boe beauty - Hats off to you!

Sunday 29 June 2014

So today I took the time to play with and test the Premium Spa SOS Hand Cream.

I've promised myself that as I am now over the 30 mark, (ugh! that happened too quickly! - wasn't I 18 and wearing midriff tops last week??) - that I will really try and start looking after my hands. After all we use them every single day more than any other body part and I don't know about you but mine get daily abuse! Typing frantically on a keyboard for 10 hours a day, texting like a mad woman because I can't be bothered actually speaking like a normal human being and of course immersing my poor hands in hot soapy water with the endless amount of dishes that seem to pile up!

As I am working closely (playing really) with Premium Spa over the next 4 weeks I decided to give their hand cream a crack.

The verdict?
A little bit special actually. This is no normal throw in your bag and forget about it Hand Cream!
I've taken the time to really delve into the ingredients and find out why I can't stop reapplying this little beauty!

1.    It smells divine! - With the essential oils of Jojoba, Rosehip & Ginger nicely finished with an Orange top note, my hands actually smell really fresh and not too overpowering.
2.    The formulation contains licorice extract which is extremely rich in antioxidants and is believed to help with skin pigmentation and those dark spots that are appearing and are very unwanted.
3.    Certified Organic Rosehip oil is packed into this bottle/tube - Rosehip oil is my one beauty must have and I use it every single night on my face before I go to bed, I have noticed such a big improvement with my skins texture and radiance so I can't wait to see the results in a few days with the skin on my hands.
4.    I will never use a hand cream that does not contain Shea Butter or Vitamin e so a big tick of approval here
5.   IT'S NOT GREASY! There is nothing worse than greasy feeling hands, it's completely uncomfortable so I am extremely pleased that this hand cream absorbs really well into my skin and feels amazing
6.  It's actually very affordable - there is a 250mL pump available which is great for the desk or for the kitchen & bathroom and a handy 50mL purse sized tube which is perfect- I've opted for one in the car and one in my handbag. The 250mL pump is $9.95 and the 50\mL tube is only $6.95. Both available at Priceline & Big W. They are in the bath and body section though and they did take a while for me to hunt them down, I think this brand deserves a bit more shelf presence just quietly.

So my overall experience was great and I honestly can not recommend this hand cream highly enough. Especially as these cold Winter months have now kicked in.
I love the fact that Premium Spa is all Australian Made and owned AND contains certified organic ingredients and essential oils. Usually formulations like these cost an arm and a leg but they have made it affordable to us mere Aussie mortals so a BIG thumbs up from me with my nicely moisturised thumbs :)

I am so overwhelmed with the support I am already receiving for my new blog .. can you believe I actually set it up yesterday! Time sure does go far too quickly! I am however going to need at least 6 more hours in my day so if I start drinking too much wine at night on the couch and put on some extra kgs - well it's worth it!

So here I am - ready to take you all on my journey ... I'm hoping to enlighten you all with beauty insights and humour .. I hope to make you all belly laugh at least once but I promise not to let your Mascara run! That's just plain bitchy!

Enjoy! x
